Itinerary
- Departure from Mai Chau: In the morning, a vehicle and local guide will pick you up at your homestay.
- Start of trekking: After a 1-hour and 20-minute drive to Kho Muong Village, your driver will drop you and the guide off, and you will start trekking.
- Visit Kho Muong Village: The 2-km path down to Kho Muong is a long, steep slope that presents a challenge on the way back up.
- Explore Bat Cave: Upon reaching Kho Muong Village, you will explore Bat Cave, a magnificent natural cave with unique stalactites.
- Trekking through Thai villages: Continue your journey for about 10 km, passing through pristine Thai villages, terraced fields, streams, and mountains. The final destination is Don Village, where your driver will be waiting for you.
- Visit Don Village: Take a walk to explore Don Village, one of the most famous tourist spots in Pu Luong, known for its vast terraced rice fields.
- Enjoy a local lunch at a homestay or restaurant in Don Village.
Return to Mai Chau: On the way back, you’ll stop by a bamboo workshop to learn about how locals craft products from bamboo.
